25th January 2010 - A day in the operation theatre @ Tawakal Hospital,KL.

Around 10.30am, the nurses brought me to the operation theatre room..but then, suddenly there was an emergency case to be handled first..So,they put me at the waiting area..I was lying down on the stretcher..looking up at the light..and selawat at the same time..This situation reminds me of the time when I got warded in 2008 because of an accident.Subhanallah..Time flies so fast..

After like 45minutes or nearly an hour I think...The OT staffs brought me into the OT room..fuhhhh..Finally..the doctor sedated me..TuPP!I was unconcious for the whole period of the surgery..When I woke up (but still drowsy),heard the nurse said "Adik..dah sampai ward dah nie"...I tried to open my eyes..saw my mother, father and cousins..at that time I was unable to speak..because my condition was still weak...Whatever it is..Alhamdulillah..the surgery went well...A big thank to Dr. Solahuddin for conducting the surgery and well done! Thanks to those who came to visit me...Love you all so much. And of course thanks for the doa..May Allah bless us all...Amenn...

This is what exactly sinus surgery is...

Endoscopic sinus surgery - also called endoscopy or sinoscopy - is a procedure used to remove blockages in the sinuses (the spaces filled with air in some of the bones of the skull). These blockages cause sinusitis, a condition in which the sinuses swell and become clogged, causing pain and impaired breathing.

A thin, lighted instrument called an endoscope is inserted into the nose, and the doctor looks inside through an eyepiece. Much like a telescope with a wide-angle camera lens, the endoscope beams light into different parts of the nose and sinuses, allowing the doctor to see what is causing blockages. Surgical instruments can then be used along with the endoscope to remove the blockages and improve breathing.

This surgery does not involve cutting through the skin, as it is performed entirely through the nostrils.
